We are seeking a reliable and professional 3.5t Delivery Driver to join our team. Duties
MUST HAVE A VALID CPC CARD.
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne vehicle to deliver goods to specified destinations within designated timeframes
- Load and unload items, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with clients and the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle throughout the working day
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience in a similar role
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation
- Ability to manage time efficiently, work independently, and handle physical demands of the role
