Bar & Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Bar & Restaurant Manager to join our team at Croft Country Club, supporting the day-to-day operation of our bar, restaurant and front-of-house service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who is ready to take on a leadership role, overseeing shifts, supporting and developing team members, and ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service for our guests, customers, and holiday park owners.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of the venue, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining excellent operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the bar and restaurant
- Leading and motivating the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Supervising service periods and ensuring smooth, efficient running of shifts
- Training, supporting and developing team members
- Handling customer enquiries, feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Taking bookings and reservations over the phone and in person
- Managing cash handling procedures and operating the touchscreen till system
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and maintaining stock awareness
- Ensuring the bar and restaurant are fully prepared for service
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the venue
- Overseeing opening and closing procedures, ensuring the premises are left secure and compliant
- Working closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure excellent customer experiences
General Duties
- Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Supporting food and beverage service when required
- Monitoring the dining and terrace areas to ensure they remain clean and inviting
- Ensuring glassware, equipment and stock are organised and readily available
- Supporting special events, function nights and seasonal activities
- Maintaining compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
- Supporting continuous improvements in service standards and team performance
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hospitality management, or supervisory role
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Confident handling customer issues and making operational decisions
- Must be 18+ due to licensing laws
- Ability to reliably travel to The Croft Holiday Park, Reynalton (SA68 0PE)
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification, or willingness to obtain, is essential

This role offers a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts throughout the year, with increased hours available during peak seasonal periods, school holidays, function nights and pre-planned events.
