Overview
Broadway Healthcare Logistics is seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. This role involves nationwide deliveries with regular nights out during the week. You’ll be transporting healthcare-related goods and infrastructure — including medical equipment and medical devices so professionalism, safety, and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle in line with UK driving laws and company standards
- Driver to also drive other vehicles size.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Load, secure, and unload cargo (strapping, sheeting, and using appropriate load restraint methods)
- Plan and manage delivery routes efficiently to meet time and fuel targets
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including delivery notes, mileage logs, and incident reports
- Liaise with transport planners, site contacts, and clients in a professional manner
- Stay overnight in the vehicle as required (up to 4 nights per week)
- Adhere strictly to health & safety and road compliance regulations at all times
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous tramping experience preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare or time-sensitive deliveries (advantageous)
- Excellent time management and route planning abilities
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling/loading tasks
- A proactive, safety-first mindset and ability to work independently
