Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards
- Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to engineering drawings and work orders
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues efficiently
- Measure and mark materials accurately using basic maths skills to ensure precise fabrication
- Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring quality control throughout the process
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding and general welding practices within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong understanding of sheet metal working processes and assembly procedures
- Ability to read drawings from AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding are desirable but not essential; however, practical experience is mandatory
