We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents within a homecare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for enhancing the wellbeing of others. Previous supervising experience and familiarity with care plans are highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while working within a supportive and professional setting.
Duties
- Deliver personalised care to clients - in their own homes, in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment
- Assist clients with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, and medication management
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates to care plans as required
- Support clients’ emotional wellbeing through companionship and engaging activities
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate care
- Contribute to the organisation’s training programmes by sharing expertise and supervising new staff members
- Utilise IT systems to document care activities and update resident information efficiently
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care or a similar supervisory role within a domiciliary care setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate team members
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
- Competence in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Driving licence is A MUST
- Good IT skills for managing electronic records and documentation effectively
- Competence in rota management
- Knowledge of senior care principles, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations
- Care Certificate / NVQ level 3 desirable

Pay: £28,080.00-£29,120.00 per year
