Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our nursery setting. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while working closely with children to foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Support children's emotional and social development through positive interaction and guidance
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education within the nursery
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources to enhance children's learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and wellbeing
- Uphold all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding procedures
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily activities and team coordination
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Organised with the ability to plan activities that support developmental milestones
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
- Childcare qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent recognised by relevant authorities
- Passionate about working with children and committed to their safety and development
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
