Fast Fit TechnicianJob Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fast Fit Technician to join our busy workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of vehicle maintenance and repair services, including MOT preparation, servicing, brake replacements, and general fast-fit work. You will provide high-quality workmanship while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a safe, efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work to a high standard
- Perform MOT checks, preparation work, and identify any required repairs
- Replace brake discs, brake pads, calipers, and carry out brake inspections
- Complete tyre fitting, wheel balancing, and general fast-fit services
- Diagnose faults and recommend necessary repairs
- Carry out safety checks and vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate job records and communicate findings clearly
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
- Keep the workshop area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Fast Fit Technician, Vehicle Technician, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, brakes, and general mechanical repairs
- Experience preparing vehicles for MOT testing
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs independently
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- MOT Tester qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models
