Facilities Technician (Maintenance)
25 Hours per Week | Permanent Position
Salary: PG5 – £29,429.51 per annum (40 hours FTE) | £14.11 per hour

Lincs Inspire is looking for a Facilities Technician (Maintenance) to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role. You'll play a vital part in maintaining our facilities, ensuring they remain safe, efficient and operating at their best for our customers and colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing
You will support the day-to-day upkeep of our sites, carrying out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs, while helping us provide high-quality facilities for the communities we serve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out water safety and temperature checks and ensuring swimming pool plant equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
- Undertaking routine repairs and maintenance work, in line with agreed permissions and within the scope of a competent maintenance professional.
- Completing reactive housekeeping tasks, including inspections, testing, minor repairs, replacements and decorating works.
- Supporting planned and preventative maintenance programmes to keep our facilities safe and compliant.
- Conducting routine checks and inspections, such as alarm testing, emergency lighting checks and swimming pool water monitoring.
- Recording work completed using computer-based job logging and maintenance systems.
Full training and guidance will be provided for all testing and compliance-related activities.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is reliable, proactive and able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
You'll have:
- Experience in joinery, decorating and/or general building maintenance.
- The ability to read and understand technical instructions and maintenance documentation.
- Experience using or willingness to learn computer-based maintenance recording systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to call-outs.
- A full driving licence and the ability to drive a company van.
- A flexible approach to work, including occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays to support a seven-day operation.
- Full commitment to following established safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for colleagues, customers, and contractors.
Pool Plant Qualification
Candidates should ideally hold a Level 3 Pool Plant Operator Qualification.
Don't have the qualification yet? Don't worry. We can support the successful candidate to achieve this qualification at the start of their employment. This will be subject to the terms of the Lincs Inspire Training Agreement.
