At Dolphin Mobility we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Installation and Service Technicians to join our teams at Chobham Surry and West Moors Dorset . These roles involve installing, maintaining, and servicing a variety of mobility equipment stairlifts, through-floor lifts, step lifts, and associated mobility equipment to a high professional standard, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with all safety regulations. Installation & Service Engineer x 2
Location
- Field-Based working with the Chobham Surrey office covering London, Reading, Surrey, and surrounding areas.
- Field-Based working with the West Moors Dorset office covering the central south, Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire
Key Responsibilities
Installation Duties
- Install stairlifts, through-floor lifts, and step lifts in domestic and commercial properties.
- Carry out site assessments where required.
- Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications and current regulations.
- Demonstrate safe operation of equipment to customers upon completion.
- Complete installation documentation accurately.
Service & Maintenance
- Perform planned preventative maintenance visits.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Carry out repairs and replacement of defective parts.
- Respond to breakdown and emergency callouts.
- Maintain accurate service records and job reports.
Customer Service
- Always provide a professional and courteous service.
- Explain work completed clearly to customers and clients.
- Promote customer confidence and satisfaction.
- Escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
Health & Safety
- Work in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
- Carry out risk assessments before commencing work.
- Ensure company vehicle, tools, and equipment are maintained safely.
- Follow all LOLER and relevant lift safety regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous engineering experience within the lift industry, mobility industry, or similar mechanical/electrical field.
- Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Experience working on stairlifts, through-floor lifts, platform lifts, passenger lifts, or related equipment.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience with manufacturers such as Stannah, TK Access, Platinum, and Handicare. Wessex and Terrys Home lifts.
- CSCS or IPAF certification.
- LOLER knowledge and experience.
Training
Full manufacturer and in-house training will be provided for the right candidate. Ongoing development and support will also be offered to expand product knowledge and technical skills.

Working Hours
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 40hours
- Call-out rota. (Paid extra for call rota and a call out fee paid too)
