Join our dynamic front of house team at Yuzu, a busy 28-seat Japanese restaurant known for our kaisen don, tendon, and katsu sets, with regular queues out the door! We're seeking passionate, guest-focused professionals to fill multiple FOH positions: FOH Manager, Waiter/Waitress. This is a great opportunity to be the face of a fast-growing restaurant in the heart of Manchester's Chinatown.
Roles & Pay
FOH Manager — £26,000–£30,000/year (DOE)
Lead front of house operations, ensuring smooth, high-quality service during high-volume, queue-driven trading
Manage bookings, table turns, and the waitlist to maximise covers without compromising guest experience
Recruit, train, and supervise waiting and host staff, building rotas around peak demand
Handle guest feedback, complaints, and any incidents calmly and professionally
Oversee till reconciliation, cash handling, and daily sales reporting
Ensure compliance with licensing, allergen disclosure, and food safety front-of-house procedures
Act as key link between front-of-house and kitchen to keep service flowing
Waiter/Waitress — National Minimum/Living Wage rate for age band
Deliver friendly, efficient table service from seating through to payment
Take orders accurately, including allergen and dietary requirements
Maintain menu knowledge to confidently recommend dishes and answer questions
Keep tables, service areas, and pass clean and organised throughout service
Support with table resets and turnover during busy periods
Pay: £12.71 per hour
