About the Role
Triweld Ltd is looking to recruit two reliable and motivated Trainee Roofing, Cladding & Weatherproofing Operatives to join our growing team.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for practical and hardworking individuals who want to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career within the construction industry.
Previous roofing, cladding or weatherproofing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. However, applicants must already hold a valid CSCS card.
You will work alongside experienced operatives on commercial construction projects throughout the UK, learning specialist skills including roofing and cladding repairs, GRP weatherproofing, sheet metal installation, sealing, insulation and finishing works.
Main Duties
- Assisting experienced operatives with roofing, cladding and weatherproofing works
- Preparing work areas, materials, tools and equipment
- Learning how to install flashings, soakers, kerbs and weathering details
- Assisting with GRP and liquid-applied waterproofing systems
- Carrying out surface preparation, sealing, insulation and finishing works
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Taking clear progress and completion photographs
- Completing basic site paperwork and daily reports
- Following company procedures, risk assessments and site safety requirements
- Travelling to projects throughout the UK
- Staying away from home when required
Essential Requirements
- A valid CSCS card
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Willingness to learn a skilled trade
- Comfortable working outdoors and at height
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work away from home
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Professional and respectful when dealing with clients and other contractors
- Able to take clear photographs and complete basic paperwork using a mobile phone
- Physically capable of carrying out practical construction work
Desirable Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous construction or site experience
- Experience using hand tools or power tools
- Roofing, cladding, fabrication, sealing or waterproofing experience
- IPAF, PASMA or working-at-height training
Training and Development
Successful applicants will receive structured on-the-job training covering:
- Roofing and cladding systems
- GRP and liquid waterproofing
- Sheet metal flashings and fabrications
- Sealants, insulation and weatherproofing
- Safe working at height
- Mobile access equipment
- Site documentation and quality control
- Safe use of hand tools and power tools
Further training and recognised industry qualifications may be provided as the role develops.

Working Hours
Standard working hours are generally Monday to Friday. Early starts, overtime, travel and overnight stays may be required depending on the location and requirements of each project.
Pay: £26,450.00-£38,709.00 per year
