Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Front of House Staff, to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring exceptional service throughout their experience. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and possess a passion for the restaurant and catering industry.
Initially, only between 8 and 12 hours will be available (2 shifts), although this can be subject to change, as per the needs of the business. At least 1 shift will be on a Saturday or Sunday. 8.30am would be the earliest starting time, and 4pm the latest finishing time.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, via an EPOS till system, communicating with the kitchen staff, as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Provide attentive service to guests throughout their dining experience, responding promptly to requests or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Make drinks, as per our guidelines, such as: various coffees, misc other hot drinks, milkshakes, smoothies, matchas, frappes & bubble teas.
- Answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, taking food delivery orders and coordinating the collection of food deliveries to companies such as Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
- Pot washing, as and when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role.
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset will contribute significantly to your success in this position.
- Experience in food delivery portals, such as Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats, would be particularly desirable.
