- Monday to Thursday 08:30–17:00, Friday 08:00–15:45
- Flexible attitude to start and finish times required to suit business needs, with ability to work overtime at short notice
The role of Warehouse Operative/ Van Driver:
- Ensuring efficient and accurate deliveries of customer orders
- Maintaining Kanban systems to company and customer agreed standards
- Efficient monitoring and management of stock at customer premises, practising FIFO
- Reporting any issues with Kanban systems to the nominated person
- Making deliveries to point of use with NI and ROI customers
- Promoting good customer relationships, both internally and externally
- Ensuring Health & Safety is not compromised
- Maintaining good housekeeping within the warehouse
- Picking and packing orders; ensuring dispatch activities are complete and accurate
- Moving stock by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Loading goods for dispatch
- Storing goods to ensure accurate location of stock at all times
- Keeping records of stock and maintaining up-to-date paperwork
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Actively participating in appraisals, company initiatives and team meetings
The ideal Warehouse Operative/ Van Driver:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Valid driver's licence — essential
- Forklift licence — beneficial
- Able to work as part of a team and independently to get the job done
- Used to working to deadlines in a busy environment
- Flexible approach with ability to prioritise and remain focused; accuracy is paramount
