We have an opportunity to join the CLAAS Western team as a Parts Assistant, working at our dealership in Frome for a fixed term period of 12 months. This role will be covering a colleagues period of maternity leave.
Main Duties:
- Responsibility for picking and packing parts and ensuring their prompt dispatch to our customers.
- Assisting with the unloading of deliveries ensuring all parts are booked in and stored correctly.
- Dealing with customer parts enquiries in our retail area, both face to face and by telephone, supporting customers and workshop staff with parts identification.
- Ensuring our Service Engineers have all the necessary parts to complete servicing and breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Stock taking duties, using a computerised stock control system.
- Other general duties to ensure smooth operation (housekeeping).
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent customer service skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Able to work to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team or independently as necessary.
- The ability to work unsociable hours as and when required.
- Able to multi-task and prioritise.
- Enthusiasm to learn.
- A good understanding of MS Office products.
- Knowledge of working within a busy parts department would be preferable.
- Understanding of agricultural machinery would be beneficial.
- Retail experience would be an advantage.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week with regular overtime. During peak seasonal periods be prepared to work on a rota which includes evenings
