Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area, including setting tables and clearing used crockery.
- Handle payments efficiently, ensuring accuracy in billing and cash handling procedures.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including catering options where applicable.
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to health regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver seamless service during busy periods, demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, especially with catering or serving roles.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality sector.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour that enhances guest experiences.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Barista experience or additional skills in food preparation are advantageous but not essential.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine interest in hospitality are essential qualities for success in this role.
