Role Overview
We are a well-established and regarded General Builder / Property Developer company based in Colchester.
Due to an expansion of work, we are seeking an experienced self-employed Plasterer to join our team here at Alan Bender Limited working in occupied homes, empty properties and new builds.
This role is ideal for a skilled Plasterer or operative with a strong construction and plastering background.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plastering tasks in occupied homes, empty properties and new builds. Typical tasks will include:
· Plaster boarding stud walls and over-boarding ceilings.
· Preparing surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as needed.
· Mix plaster according to specifications to achieve the desired consistency.
· Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to create smooth finishes on walls and ceilings.
· Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching and resurfacing damaged areas.
· Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly storing tools and materials.
· Follow health and safety regulations while working on-site.
· Assist in other duties on site as and when necessary.

Experience:
- Plastering: 3 years (required)
You must be:
· Willing to travel to work around the Colchester and surrounding areas.
· Enthusiastic.
· Must work well on your own and in a team.
Rates of pay:
· From £160.
· Dependent on experience and skill set, once proven abilities pay rate may be increased.
Length:
· For the right candidate, good prospects for longevity of work.
Expected start date:
· Immediate start.

· Site hours 7.30am to 4.30 pm (8 working hours, 2 nonpaid half hour breaks)
