We are seeking an ambitious, hands-on and commercially focused Food & Beverage Manager who can lead our front-of-house operation, develop our team, drive revenue growth and consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Purpose of the Role
The Food & Beverage Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Eleven Bar & Restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, strong financial performance, operational excellence and a positive team culture.
The successful candidate will lead by example on the floor, inspire and develop the team, maximise sales opportunities and ensure all aspects of the operation are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
· Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, bar and terrace areas.
· Ensure exceptional guest experiences are delivered consistently.
· Lead service periods and act as the visible operational leader on shift.
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the venue.
· Ensure opening, closing and cash handling procedures are followed.
· Monitor service standards and implement improvements where required.
· Resolve guest complaints professionally and effectively.
· Ensure all operational policies and procedures are followed.
Team Leadership
· Recruit, train and develop Food & Beverage team members.
· Conduct inductions, probation reviews and performance management meetings.
· Create a positive, motivated and high-performing team culture.
· Manage staff rotas to balance guest service and labour efficiency.
· Carry out regular team briefings and communication meetings.
· Identify future supervisors and leaders within the business.
· Ensure company standards and values are consistently demonstrated by all team members.
Financial Performance
· Deliver budgeted sales, profit and labour targets.
· Monitor and control labour costs.
· Analyse sales performance and identify revenue opportunities.
· Drive upselling and guest spend initiatives.
· Manage stock control processes to minimise wastage and losses.
· Conduct regular stock takes and investigate variances.
· Monitor purchasing and supplier costs.
· Support the Directors in developing business growth strategies.
Guest Experience
· Ensure every guest receives warm, professional and memorable service.
· Build a culture focused on hospitality rather than simply service.
· Monitor guest feedback from online reviews and direct feedback.
· Implement improvements based on guest comments and trends.
· Work closely with reservations and hotel teams to maximise guest satisfaction.
Compliance & Standards
· Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations.
· Maintain Challenge 25 procedures.
· Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
· Maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
· Ensure staff complete required training and certifications.
· Manage accident reporting and incident procedures.
· Ensure GDPR and company policies are adhered to.
Marketing & Revenue Growth
· Support the marketing team in promoting events and special offers.
· Develop ideas for increasing footfall and guest spend.
· Assist with planning seasonal menus and promotions alongside the Head Chef.
· Support the development of private dining, events and group bookings.
· Identify opportunities to grow repeat business and customer loyalty.

Essential Skills & Experience
· Previous management experience within a restaurant, bar or hospitality environment.
· Strong leadership and people management skills.
· Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
· Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
· Experience managing rotas, stock and labour costs.
· Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
· Personal Licence Holder (desirable but not essential).

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
