Quicksilver Moving & Storage is looking for a reliable and hardworking Furniture Removals Porter / Removal Crew Member to join our removals team.
This is a hands-on furniture removals role, working as part of a removals crew on household and commercial moves. You will help with packing, lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, protecting and placing customers’ furniture and personal belongings.
You will work as part of a team and help ensure each move is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload furniture, boxes and other household or commercial items safely.
- Assist with packing, wrapping and protecting customers’ belongings.
- Move furniture carefully in and out of homes, offices, storage units and vehicles.
- Place items in line with customer instructions.
- Handle customers’ personal effects with care and respect.
- Follow safe lifting, carrying and manual handling procedures.
- Help keep vehicles, equipment and depot areas clean and tidy.
- Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Work as part of a removals crew to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
- Work nationally when required, including occasional overnight stays.
- Be flexible with duties to support the needs of the business.

- Flexible with start times, finish times and occasional overnight work.
- Comfortable working in a busy removals, transport or warehouse environment.
- Willing to learn and follow company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous removals, delivery, warehouse or manual handling experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices would be an advantage.
- Full training and induction will be provided.
Appointment may be subject to right-to-work checks and any other checks required for the role.
