Veterinary Receptionist – St Peter’s Vets
About us:
St Peter’s Vets is a long standing and reputable veterinary practice dedicated to providing the highest level of care to pets and their owners 24/7. We pride ourselves on being a ‘can do’ practice with a large team of vets, nurses and support staff who are passionate about looking after patients and providing excellent client care. We are now looking for friendly, organised and compassionate individuals to join our superb Reception team.
The Role:
This role will be based across all 4 of our branches at Petersfield, Horndean, Farlington and Liss.
Full time hours 37.5 hours per week with a share in the weekend day rota. These hours are offered at 7.5 hours per day over 5 days.
Taking part in the bank holiday rota working 1 per year.
Typical working shifts are between the hours of 8am – 7:30pm with a variety of earlier and later shifts. More detail will be given during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities: ·
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the clinic
- Answer phone calls efficiently, schedule appointments and manage the practice diary efficiently
- Provide accurate information to clients regarding services, treatments and general pet care
- Liaise between clients and veterinary staff to ensure smooth communication between teams
- Processing requests for repeat medications
- Handle enquiries, complaints and emergencies with professionalism and empathy
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
Computer literate, experience with practice management software is an advantage
Compassion for animals and an understanding of pet owners needs
Confident and positive mindset to provide a high level of client care
Ability to work well as part of a large team with a flexible, proactive and can-do attitude
Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is beneficial but fitting into the team is key!
