Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, food safety, and time management are essential. Previous barista experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of coffee beverages, teas, and other refreshments in accordance with company standards.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and engaging with customers in a friendly manner.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces throughout shifts.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when required, including assembling snacks or light meals.
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar serving role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently as required.
- Flexibility to work shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Pay: £12.21-£16.86 per hour
