ABOUT THE ROLE
As Care Home Deputy Manager at Torrance Lodge, you will support the delivery of the quality care we pride ourselves on. Working closely with the Home Manager you will take on leadership duties in their absence. You will help lead the staff team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy the best possible quality of life. That means leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and checking our regulatory compliance. You’ll set the highest standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals. You will be responsible for ensuring that through strong leadership the care, health and safety of all residents is effectively assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be experienced in clinical care and a strong communicator who can lead a team, solve problems and show good judgement and communicate with all sorts of people.
- To maintain excellent clinical performance and health & safety standards.
- To manage all aspects of the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
- To perform direct nursing duties, when required, as agreed with the Home Manager in accordance with your contract.
- To support the attainment of budgeted financial performance and demonstrate sound cost management.
- Valid RGN or RMN NMC Pin Code
- Proven post-qualification Practice in a health and social care setting with older people
- Previous experience of leading a team
- Great written and verbal skills for communication and understanding
- Good IT skills and confidence in computer based work
- Ability to manage safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
- Some HR experience
