Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Coach to join our Community Football Club. (Youth Teams). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young athletes and contribute to their personal and athletic development through organised training sessions and competitive matches.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging football training sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Coach players on technical skills, tactical awareness, and sportsmanship principles.
- Monitor individual progress and provide constructive feedback to optimise performance.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all participants.
- Organise team drills, practice matches, and preparation for competitions.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and respect among players.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is safe and well-organised.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaching staff regarding training schedules and player development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in football, with a strong understanding of game tactics and player development.
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan effective training sessions.
- Strong communication skills to motivate and instruct players of diverse ages and abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as required for training sessions or matches. (We train in G11, G12 & G13 areas)
- Recognised coaching qualifications (Minimum SFA 1.2 or equivlent) or willingness to obtain qualifications
- Commitment to promoting a positive sporting environment that emphasises teamwork, respect, and personal growth.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
