Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. Must be 18 or over! As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve serving drinks, managing orders, and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area. A passion for hospitality and a commitment to food safety are essential for success in this position. This is a community local pub looking for someone willing to talk to customers as well as serve them. 2 8hour shifts a week.
Duties
- Serve beverages and food items promptly and courteously to customers.
- Prepare and mix drinks according to standard recipes while ensuring quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in serving and billing.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering queries about menu items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for billing purposes.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- A strong understanding of hospitality principles is essential for creating a positive customer experience.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
