CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time
LOCATION: Any UK Office – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £70,000 - £90,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role owns how strategic intent is shaped into clear, prioritised and capacity-aware plans across the Product Group.
You'll develop the planning frameworks, operating rhythms and tooling that connect strategy, delivery, finance and workforce planning. By combining strong planning approaches with expert use of platforms such as Jira, you'll help leaders balance ambition with capacity, align investment with priorities and give teams clarity on what matters most.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
Lead the evolution of Product Group's strategic planning framework and operating model.
Own the strategic planning capability within Jira and related planning tools, ensuring they support effective portfolio planning, prioritisation and capacity management.
Design planning approaches that connect strategy, financial planning, workforce planning and delivery.
Develop approaches that help leaders understand delivery capacity, organisational constraints and strategic trade-offs.
Facilitate planning cycles and leadership planning activities across Product Group.
Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tooling and ways of working.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance and Operations to embed consistent planning practices.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Experience designing strategic or portfolio planning frameworks in a complex organisation.
Expert knowledge of Jira and its application to portfolio planning, roadmapping and strategic delivery.
Strong understanding of capacity planning, prioritisation and organisational planning.
Experience designing or evolving planning tools, workflows and data models to support strategic decision-making.
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
DESIRABLE
Experience connecting strategy, financial planning and workforce planning.
Experience working in Product, Technology or Digital delivery environments.
Experience designing operating models, planning frameworks or governance rhythms.
Experience working with Jira Cloud, Atlassian Analytics, Confluence or related planning tools.
Experience working in a large, complex organisation.
