Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of a variety of dishes in accordance with care home standards.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items.
- Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper storage procedures.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
- Assist in serving food to guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
