Duties
- Planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed meticulously across the kitchen
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Support in developing new dishes and innovative culinary ideas to enhance menu offerings
- Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and quality control
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred
