We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed therapeutic children’s home in Wisbech.
The home will support children and young people who have experienced complex trauma and exploitation, providing trauma-informed and therapeutic care focused on achieving positive long-term outcomes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and clinically focused provider at an exciting stage, with the opportunity to shape the culture, standards, and long-term success of the service.
The service benefits from weekly clinical support from in-house Therapists, Psychologists, and Specialist Advisors, helping to ensure both young people and staff receive the highest level of support.
The Role:
As the Senior Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Holding Ofsted registration and ensuring the home remains fully compliant with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Leading and managing the daily operations of the home, ensuring high-quality therapeutic care and positive outcomes for young people.
- Building, developing, and supporting a motivated and child-focused care team.
- Creating a warm, nurturing, and resilient home environment where young people feel safe, supported, and valued.
- Overseeing safeguarding, care planning, compliance, staffing, and all operational responsibilities.
- Mentoring and developing staff through supervision, coaching, and training.
- Managing budgets, service development, and continuous improvement across the home.
- Working collaboratively with clinical teams, local authorities, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
- Experience supporting children and young people affected by complex trauma.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, Ofsted frameworks, and children’s home regulations.
- Experience managing budgets and operational performance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- A compassionate, resilient, and child-centred approach to care.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
