Commercial Account Executive
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Bonus
We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected national insurance brokerage that is planning for the future. Due to upcoming movement within the team, the business is looking for ambitious, relationship-focused professionals to join their Corporate team and gradually take ownership of a significant portfolio of commercial clients.
This is a genuine succession opportunity where you'll spend time working alongside the existing Account Executives, meeting clients together and building trusted relationships before taking over the portfolio. Many of these clients have worked with the business for over 20 years, making this one of the strongest inherited books currently available.

The Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of mid-market and corporate commercial clients.
Working closely with senior colleagues during the transition period, you'll:
- Build strong relationships with an established portfolio of commercial and corporate clients.
- Deliver expert advice across a broad range of commercial insurance products.
- Retain and develop existing business through exceptional client service.
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts through cross-selling and upselling where appropriate.
- Work closely with insurers to negotiate the best outcomes for your clients.
- Become the trusted adviser for your portfolio as you take over responsibility over the coming years.
Unlike many inherited books, this portfolio has been exceptionally well looked after, with loyal clients, planned introductions and a structured handover. There is no outgoing Executive competing for the business after leaving, allowing you to focus entirely on building lasting client relationships.
About You
You'll ideally have experience as a:
- Commercial Account Executive
- Corporate Account Executive
- Client Executive
- Development Executive
- Senior Commercial Account Handler looking to move into an Executive role
You'll also have:
- Commercial insurance experience within a broker environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across commercial insurance products.
- Experience managing mid-market or corporate clients.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A consultative, client-first approach.

Pay: £50,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
