i24 Group is looking for a Business Content Writer & Editor to take ownership of content for Talking.Business, a new digital business publication from our media division, Relevant Media.
www.Talking.Business is live, but we're right at the beginning of the journey. We're looking for someone who will enjoy helping us build the publication, its content and its audience from the ground up.

Talking.Business covers business news, stories and insights from around the world - from startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses to major companies, technology, finance, the economy, careers and the changing world of work.
The Role
This is an all-round role combining writing, editing, research and content management.
You'll take a story from idea to publication - researching the subject, finding the right angle, writing an engaging and accurate article, sourcing suitable imagery and publishing the finished piece on WordPress.
We're not looking for someone who simply wants to be handed a topic, write 800 words and move on. We want someone who becomes genuinely involved in building the publication and thinking about what people want to read, what will perform in search, what will get shared and what will help grow our audience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching business news, companies, industries and potential stories.
- Identifying timely and interesting subjects for coverage.
- Writing original, well-researched news articles, stories and features.
- Creating compelling headlines and finding strong angles.
- Fact-checking information and working from credible sources.
- Editing and proofreading content to a high standard.
- Sourcing suitable, appropriately licensed imagery.
- Formatting and publishing articles in WordPress.
- Adding appropriate sources, links, categories and tags.
- Applying basic SEO principles to content.
- Ensuring everything published meets our editorial standards.
- Considering search, social media and audience growth when planning content.
- Contributing ideas as the editorial direction of Talking.Business develops.
AI can be used to assist with research, analysis, editing and the content creation process, but Talking.Business is a human-led publication. You'll be expected to verify information, apply your own judgement and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of everything you publish.
About You
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, interested in business and knows how to turn information into something people actually want to read.
You'll ideally have:
- Excellent written English, grammar and punctuation.
- Strong research and fact-checking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in business, entrepreneurship and current affairs.
- An instinct for finding an interesting story or angle.
- An understanding of basic SEO principles.
- Experience with WordPress, or the confidence to learn it quickly.
- An understanding of writing for digital audiences.
- An awareness of what drives traffic, engagement and social sharing.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership.
Experience in journalism, digital publishing, business writing or content creation would be advantageous, but ability, attitude and potential matter just as much to us.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a publication at the very beginning and play a meaningful role in what it becomes.
As Talking.Business grows, we expect to bring in additional writers and journalists, creating the opportunity for this position to develop into a broader editorial role. There may also be opportunities across Relevant Media as i24 Group's media division expands and launches further digital publications.
