Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Gynaecology Sonographer to join our community healthcare team in Gloucester. This part-time role involves performing pelvic ultrasound scans for gynaecological assessments in a supportive outpatient setting. The successful candidate will work one weekday per week, delivering high-quality care to approximately 23 patients per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasound scans.
- Assess and document findings related to gynaecological conditions (e.g., fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial thickness).
- Collaborate with referring clinicians to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality throughout the scanning process.
- Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately.
- Adhere to clinical governance and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- Qualified Sonographer with MSc, DMU, Post Graduate Diploma or certificate in Medical Ultrasound awarded by the Consortium for Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) approved higher education provider.
- HCPC or RCT Registererd
- Must have own Indemnity Insurance cover.
- Have an up-to-date professional development portfolio.
- Professional membership.
- Five years minimum post qualification experience..
