Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Responsibilities
- Offer emotional support and guidance to children, fostering a safe and caring environment.
- Assist with daily routines including meal times, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.
- Implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their development is supported holistically.
- Support children with educational activities and encourage participation in social and recreational pursuits.
- Maintain accurate records of behaviour, progress, and incidents in accordance with organisational policies.
- Facilitate effective communication between children, families, and external professionals involved in the child's care.
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies aligned with organisational guidelines.
- Contribute to team meetings and training sessions aimed at continuous improvement of care services.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely to appointments or activities.
- Knowledge of child development principles and childcare practices.
- Ability to develop and follow individualised care plans effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children and collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate nature with patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting children's well-being.

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,123.60 per year
