As a Chalet Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and overall guest experience within the chalet.
Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces, creating a welcoming environment for our guests.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all our self-catering guest properties are immaculate, welcoming, and comfortable.
While we have very high cleaning standards, we all also enjoy a happy and relaxed working environment in beautiful surroundings.
Hours are flexible, but you will need your own transport. Primary cleaning days are Mondays and Fridays, with occasional mid week and weekend shifts.
We are open all year round, but busier in the summer months.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, and sanitised.
- Change bed linen and towels
- Clean windows
- Clean access areas
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored correctly after use.
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules while being flexible to accommodate special requests from guests or management.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with guests and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the day, including lifting and moving items as necessary.
