Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterilization
- Provide excellent patient care by offering pre- and post-treatment advice, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and address concerns effectively
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, stock management, and maintaining clinical supplies
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, adhering to infection control protocols and safeguarding policies
Skills
- Proven experience as a Fully Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or registration
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively in English
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Outstanding communication skills to liaise confidently with patients and team members
- Knowledge of nursing practices specific to dental care and infection control procedures
