We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on attention to detail and reliability. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The ideal applicant will take pride in their work, ensuring environments are safe, tidy, and welcoming for clients and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial settings
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to company standards
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
- Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as and if needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within designated timeframes with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties including standing for extended periods and lifting light equipment or supplies
