Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players’ skills (age 5 to 15), fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching and teaching to make a meaningful impact on young athletes’ development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop customised coaching programmes to improve technical abilities, tactical understanding, game play and physical fitness
- Provide constructive feedback to players to support their growth and confidence
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among all participants
- Monitor player progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and development milestones
- Ensure the safety of all participants during training and matches by adhering to health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience in football coaching
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and instruct players effectively
- Ability to work well within a team environment and foster positive relationships with players, parents, and colleagues
- Organised with the ability to plan sessions in advance and adapt as needed
- Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for youth development through sport
- Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary accreditations is expected
Pay: £12.00-£25.00 per hour
