Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold health and safety regulations.
- Organising and storing clean crockery, cutlery, and kitchen supplies efficiently.
- Supporting the team during busy service periods by managing waste disposal and replenishing stock as needed.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service shifts.
- Adhering to all food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen safety procedures is desirable.
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be beneficial for understanding customer service expectations.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail.
