Role Overview
We’re looking for someone with good roofing experience to join our team as a Roofing Surveyor. You’ll visit properties, inspect roofs, identify any issues and recommend the best solution for the customer. You’ll also prepare quotations and pass confirmed jobs over to our operations team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Visiting domestic, commercial and industrial properties to inspect roofs.
- Identifying problems and measuring areas that need repairing or replacing.
- Taking photographs and putting together clear survey notes.
- Preparing accurate quotations for the work required.
- Talking customers through their options and answering any questions.
- Working with our operations team to make sure jobs are handed over clearly.
- Keeping accurate records of surveys, quotations and customer conversations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re more interested in your practical roofing knowledge and experience than formal qualifications. You could currently be working as a roofer, supervisor, estimator or surveyor and be ready for your next step.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Good hands-on knowledge of different roofing systems.
- The ability to spot problems and recommend suitable repairs.
- Some experience measuring jobs or working out costs.
- Confidence speaking with customers.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience with estimating, surveying software or health and safety procedures would be helpful, but isn’t essential.
