Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes for metal fabrication, including welding, assembly, and tooling.
- Oversee design and drafting activities using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed schematics and technical drawings.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in production workflows, quality deviations, or equipment failures, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Manage the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation of manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency and precision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop schematics, mechanical designs, and plastic injection molding processes where applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process data, optimizing tooling, and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality protocols while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in fabrication, welding, and assembly operations.
Skills
- Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and tooling.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing components and creating detailed schematics.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues effectively.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems within manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles to ensure precise tolerances in engineering drawings and manufactured parts.
- Experience in plastics injection molding processes is a plus for versatile manufacturing capabilities.
- Ability to lead continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.
