Overview

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and unload materials across various job sites. Duties
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, or debris to designated locations on construction sites.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and mechanical components.
- Use mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance or troubleshoot minor issues with the truck or related equipment.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to determine delivery schedules and ensure timely material placement.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations while on-site and on public roads.
- Assist with loading materials onto trucks using excavators or other machinery when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and daily operations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand truck systems and perform routine maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Proven experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus for assisting with loading or site preparation tasks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required for safe operation on public roads.
- Excellent knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle operation and construction sites.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina and alertness to handle long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
