Join our vibrant team as an experienced Sous Chef, where your culinary expertise and leadership skills will add to an excellent existing kitchen team and provide an optimal dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and ensuring efficient workflow during service hours
- Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation practices to maintain compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate food production schedules, inventory management, and ordering to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Lead by example in culinary techniques and customer service, ensuring an engaging experience for both team members and guests
- Assist in training new staff members and developing existing team skills to promote professional growth
- Support the kitchen leadership team in menu planning, recipe development, rota planning and special event preparations
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Exceptional team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of staff
- Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on culinary excellence and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
- Knowledge of hospitality best practices, including serving procedures and guest interaction
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
