Future Stars Coaching Tamworth are a sports coaching company led by former GB athletes inspiring the next generation through sport. With the vision to inspire and motivate children to be the best they can be. Future Stars mission is to provide an inspirational, fun and safe environment for children to participate in sport.
We are looking for an aspiring, driven junior coach to join our holiday club team at our sports based camps in the Tamworth area.
You'll have at least one year experience in Primary School settings. The role will require you to work alone and as part of a team with other staff from Future Stars.
The candidate must be organised, positive and a passionate individual. Strong behaviour management skills are a must, as well as experience of working with both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Primary School pupils.
Hours will be between 08:15 - 15:30 during half term periods.
Main duties of the role
- Support and deliver sports based activities (daily schedule will be provided)
- Follow Future Stars and school safeguarding procedures (Including all policies & procedures)
- Manage children behaviour at all times
- Representing the company in a positive manner
- Have positive and confident conversations with parents
- To ensure children are treated accordingly to their individual needs and capabilities
- To employ different techniques to adapt to all children
Qualifications/Skills
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:
- At least 1 year sports coaching/childcare experience in a Primary School settings – working with children from all backgrounds and leading sessions without support
- Recognised NGB Level 2 certificate in Sports Coaching or childcare (or working towards)
- Full UK driving license, has own transport
- Valid DBS certificate
- Valid level 2 safeguarding certificate (Preferred)
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate (essential)
- Valid prevent training, Food Hygiene certificate and First Aid certificate
- Willing to undertake training and professional development where necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Prioritise the safety and well being of the young children they work with
- Are organised and punctual
- Can work alone or as part of a team
It is desirable that the successful candidate has the following:
- Experience in sports Holiday Clubs or Childcare Settings
