Responsibilities
- Remove, fit, balance, and repair tyres efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues related to tyres or other components.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks such as wheel alignments, brake repairs, and suspension checks.
- Assist with general vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks, oil changes, and replacing worn parts.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering professional advice.
- Lift heavy tyres and equipment safely during installation or removal processes, following proper manual handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of vehicle systems and tyre technology.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers; experience with power tools is a plus.
- Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or tyre fitting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tyre installation or removal tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Basic maintenance skills including fluid checks and minor repairs are desirable.
- A proactive approach to safety practices and attention to detail in all tasks.
