About the Role

As a Senior Therapeutic Care Worker/Outcomes Champion, you will be enthusiastic and motivated to lead the therapeutic team in creating and maintaining a child-centred therapeutic environment where our young people are supported to grow in all areas of their lives while promoting their well-being, safety and emotional stability to develop to their full potential. This is an important and rewarding role with our children and young people at the very centre of our approach. You will also oversee the development, recording, and monitoring of children and young people’s goals and outcomes.
In this role, as a senior you will:
- Supervise and support a dedicated team of Care Workers
- Lead daily routines while upholding exceptional standards of care and safeguarding
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of personalised support plans
- Work closely with the Residential Home Manager, Deputy Manager and therapeutic teams
- Provide consistent emotional and behavioural guidance to young people
- Maintain accurate documentation and support staff development
As Outcome Champion you will:
- Be responsible for overseeing the development of children and young people’s goals and outcomes.
- Monitor Keyworkers to ensure they are using evidence-based outcomes as an integral part of their work with children and young people as part of assessment, reviews, and support planning.
- Ensure that outcomes are fully embedded into keyworking sessions.
- Actively support Keyworkers to have a good understanding of the Journey of Change when completing the Outcomes Paperwork.
- Monitor outcomes paperwork to ensure they are accurate – good IT Skills are essential.
- Be prepared to challenge and be challenged.
About You
We’re looking for compassionate, confident and motivated individuals who can bring leadership, stability and empathy to the team. You will have:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care (essential)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting (preferred)
- A caring, resilient nature with a strong commitment to safeguarding
- The ability to lead, guide and mentor less experienced staff
- Strong written and organisational skills to manage documentation and compliance
Our Requirements
· Right to work in the UK
· Aged 21+ (due to regulatory requirements)
· Full manual UK driving licence (you will transport the children and young people using company vehicles)
· Enhanced DBS check (funded by us)
· Ability to work a 39‑hour rota, including some unsociable hours
· Ability to provide suitable references
· A caring, resilient nature with a strong commitment to safeguarding
· Good written and organisational skills for documentation and compliance
