The Role: Complex Care Support Worker
Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour, increasing to £14.50 per hour once signed off as competent
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S7
We provide dedicated support tailored to the individual's needs. Shifts are available across afternoons and waking nights.
Shift Pattern:
Days: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Term time Days – 07:30 – 16:00
Nights: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Shiftsinclude a combination of days, waking nights and alternate weekends.
Contract Type
Permanent, with immediate start available.
We offer the following contract options:
- Full Time – 40 hours
- Full Time – 47.5 hours Term Time
- Part Time – 20 hours
DBS: An up-to-date DBS is required (we can apply on your behalf if needed).
Driver with access to a vehicle: Preferred.
Right to Work: The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers for this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

About the Person You'll Support
Are you ready to make a genuine difference in a young person's life?
- You will be supporting a 16-year-old boy with an acquired brain injury and complex epilepsy.
- He requires specialist support including epilepsy management, medication administration, PEG feeding, suctioning and personal care.
- Experience within a hospital setting or supporting individuals with neurological conditions is desirable.
- Your role will be to provide compassionate, attentive care while supporting his safety, wellbeing and engagement throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Epilepsy Management – Administer prescribed medication, monitor seizure activity and respond appropriately using established seizure protocols.
- Medical Support – Provide suctioning, PEG feeding and medication administration while ensuring all equipment is maintained safely.
- Personal Care – Deliver respectful, dignified personal care tailored to the individual's needs.
- Monitoring – Remain attentive throughout each shift, ensuring comfort, safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Communication – Maintain accurate records, report changes to the family and healthcare professionals, and encourage engagement and stimulation.

Training
- At Josh's Care Company, we are dedicated to equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary to become competent in all areas of specialised care, including epilepsy management, PEG feeding, postural care and other complex clinical interventions.
- Rest assured that you will be in the capable hands of our skilled and experienced nursing team.
- Our nurses have extensive knowledge and expertise, ensuring you receive the highest standard of training, competency assessment and ongoing clinical support.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking highly motivated professionals with a caring demeanour, excellent communication skills and previous care experience. Knowledge of complex care is advantageous. A positive attitude and friendly nature are essential, as you'll be providing meaningful support to enhance our client's quality of life.
