Vehicle Collection & Inspection Technician
Peel Common Showroom – Gosport
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Vehicle Collection & Inspection Technician to join our team.
This is not a standard driving role. We are looking for someone with good vehicle knowledge who can confidently assess vehicles before they are brought back to our dealership.
You will be responsible for collecting vehicles from auctions, dealerships and private sellers across the South of England, carrying out inspections, identifying faults and reporting any issues before vehicles arrive on site.
Main Duties
* Collect vehicles from auctions, dealerships and private sellers
* Carry out detailed vehicle inspections before collection
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify fault codes and potential issues
* Check for warning lights, engine faults, suspension noises, clutch problems and other mechanical defects
* Inspect bodywork and identify damage or poor-quality repairs
* Record videos and photographs for management review
* Complete vehicle condition reports
* Load and secure vehicles onto a recovery truck and trailer
* Deliver vehicles safely back to our dealership
* Occasionally deliver vehicles to customers
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Confident towing a trailer
* Good vehicle knowledge
* Ability to identify common mechanical and cosmetic faults
* Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently
* Good communication skills
Desirable
* Previous mechanic or vehicle technician experience
* Experience using diagnostic equipment
* Experience in vehicle recovery, transport or the motor trade
Pay
£13.00 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
