Job Summary
We are a long-established law firm with offices in Wilmslow, New Mills and Urmston. This position is based in our Wilmslow office, where we have around 30 staff, the majority of which, have been with us long-term.
This role is the first point of contact with new clients providing support to both our Private client Solicitors and Conveyancers (fee earners). It involves responding to clients who have approached us for quotations for either Wills, Probate or conveyancing.
The role is full-time but we will consider part-time applications but due to the nature of the work it is office based.
Duties
Dealing with client quotes, both verbally and in writing, in accordance with the most recent “Fee Quotation Schedule”.
Allocating cases to fee earners in accordance with the “Allocation Process Procedure”.
Opening a new files on the case management system.
Sending out initial client correspondence (including client care letter and business terms) and accompanying property paperwork.
Obtain AML (id) documentation from clients.
Setting up the physical file and passing it to the relevant fee earner.
Providing feedback on any and all information that may be useful to the Managing Partner and Heads of Department to improve the client on-boarding process.
Experience
Ideally 12 months office experience gained in a legal environment. More importantly are excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You also must be a confident communicator both written and verbally with a smart appearance.
Pay: £12.71-£13.73 per hour
