Manager of Property Management Department Bowson | Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne
Are you an experienced Property Manager ready to lead a department, grow a high-quality portfolio, and make a real commercial impact?
Bowson is a successful, well-established estate agency in the heart of Jesmond. We’re looking for an ambitious, hands-on Manager to take full ownership of our Property Management Department.
This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys developing people, and is driven to deliver outstanding results for landlords, tenants and the business.
The role
You will be responsible for:
- Retaining and growing a quality managed property portfolio, working closely with the sales and lettings teams
- Maximising portfolio performance – rent levels, occupancy rates and efficient maintenance
- Running a profitable property maintenance operation
- Promoting and expanding ancillary services
- Continuously improving and streamlining the property management service
- Achieving and maintaining 5-star customer reviews through exceptional service
- Leading and developing the Property Management team – delegating effectively, monitoring performance via our CRM dashboard, and ensuring high standards in inventories, inspections, compliance, contractor management, repairs and upgrades
- Reviewing individual progress, identifying training needs and supporting team development
- Managing customer complaints professionally and promptly
- Overseeing recruitment, holiday cover and day-to-day team organisation
- Ensuring full Health & Safety compliance
- Collating and analysing departmental statistics to drive performance
- Holding regular weekly meetings with the Property Management team
Who we’re looking for
- Proven property management experience (essential)
- Ideally 5+ years in estate agency
- Clean full UK driving licence and use of a car
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- A professional, well-presented individual who is ambitious, conscientious and customer-focused
- Someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service and hitting commercial targets
What we offer
- Attractive package of £42,000 – £52,000 on-target earnings
- Commission, performance and quarterly bonuses
- Full-time permanent position (minimum 37.5 hours per week)
- Monday–Friday working with occasional weekend availability
