THE BIERKELLER in Nottingham is looking for energetic, friendly part-time kitchen staff to join our small kitchen team. There are evening and weekend shifts available.

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Chef to join our kitchen team. As a part-time chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. This position offers flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent waste and maintain freshness.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service.
- Cleaning to a high standard.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary requests.
This role will ideally suit a student with previous cooking experience, as we are busiest during term times due to student events and sport.
