This role operates on a rotating shift pattern.

As a Plant Quality Audit CMM Technician, you’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver exceptional quality across Electrification and Powertrain products. Working at the forefront of innovation, you’ll provide expert measurement and analysis that supports manufacturing excellence, product quality and continuous improvement.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Quality is at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll provide an independent measurement service across machining and assembly operations, helping teams understand variation, solve complex challenges and maintain the highest standards. You'll work closely with engineers, operations teams and suppliers, contributing to a shared future built on precision and continuous improvement.
Here’s what to expect:
- Measuring and analysing Powertrain and Electrification components to support manufacturing, quality and investigation activities
- Programming and setting up CMM equipment, including Zeiss Calypso and GOM Scanbox systems, to meet operational requirements
- Creating detailed measurement reports and interpreting data to support informed decision making and root cause investigations
- Validating prototype, production and supplier components to ensure product variation is understood and controlled
- Collaborating with engineering, launch and operational teams to support quality improvements and compliance with industry standards
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to help you succeed here, including:
- Completing an indentured apprenticeship and possessing a detailed understanding of metrology principles and measurement equipment
- Demonstrating experience programming Coordinate Measuring Machines using Zeiss Calypso software
- Using and programming GOM Scanbox systems within a manufacturing or quality environment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, alongside working confidently with CAD, specialist metrology software and Microsoft Office applications
- Applying problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis, while thriving under pressure and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
