Join the dynamic team as a Heavy Goods Vehicle 2 (HGV2) Driver, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations.
Duties
- Operate HGV2 trucks with a focus on commercial driving requirements, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using appropriate techniques , ensuring all items are properly restrained for transit
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and route sheets
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Uphold company safety standards by practicing responsible driving habits and promoting a culture of safety on the road
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically with flatbed trucks or similar heavy vehicles
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards for HGV drivers
- Excellent driving skills with no more than 3 points
- Must have held Licence for one year plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads on flatbeds
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients
- Organized with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and following delivery instructions
